Melisa is a PhD student in the group of Georgios A. Sotiriou at Stockholm University and SciLifeLab Solna, Sweden. She obtained both her Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Chemistry from the University of Cologne, Germany. Her research focuses on flame-aerosol engineered plasmonic nanomaterials for surface-enhanced Raman spectroscopy (SERS), with particular emphasis on developing reproducible and field-deployable sensors for therapeutic drug monitoring of antibiotics.
