Microneedle array patches (MAPs) enable needle-free skin vaccination and can leverage solid-state formulations. However, optimal MAP formats differ by payload: some vaccines are best handled as coated layers, others as dry powders, and adjuvants may require independent preparation to preserve activity and enable flexible pairing. A modular MAP system integrating C-MAP, P-MAP, and a dual-patch strategy was developed to address antigen–adjuvant-specific requirements.
