Kok-Hou Lok is a registered pharmacist whose professional experience across multiple healthcare settings informed the conception of his original PhD project in diabetes management. He is currently pursuing his PhD at Monash University Malaysia and serves as a teaching assistant. His research focuses on developing self-therapeutic lipid-based nanoparticles to enhance the oral delivery and treatment outcomes of diabetes medications, with the potential to enable more effective and lower-cost options for public healthcare systems. This work has progressed to patent filing.
