M. Vivero-Lopez, Sara Borrell Postdoctoral Fellow at the Health Research Institute of Santiago de Compostela, completed a two-year Ramón Areces–funded postdoctoral fellowship at the Univ. of Nottingham following her PhD with Honors in Pharmacy from the Univ. of Santiago de Compostela (2022). She serves as Secretary of the CRS YSC and the OcD FG. Her research focuses on innovative ocular drug delivery systems, particularly medicated contact lenses, and she has received multiple awards, including the 2025 CRS Member of the Year Award and the 2023 Julia Polak European Doctorate Award.
