Bárbara da Silva Marques, MSc in Pharmaceutical Sciences, is a Research Fellow at the Coimbra Chemistry Centre, University of Coimbra. She graduated as Top Student from the Faculty of Pharmacy in 2024. She contributed to the NANOPEP project on nanotherapies for glioblastoma, resulting in a provisional patent application in brain tumour therapy. She is currently developing machine-learning approaches for CRISPR/Cas optimisation. Her research focuses on nanomedicine, CRISPR/Cas technologies, and translational biomedical science, with experience in lipid nanocarriers, patient-derived tumoroids, laboratory animal science, and computational gene-editing strategies.
