Carolina Guímaro is a 1st year PhD student in the Experimental Biology and Biomedicine program at the University of Coimbra. She holds a BSc in Biology with a Minor in Biochemistry and an MSc in Cellular and Molecular Biology. Her research at Dr. Lino Ferreira’s lab focuses on nanoformulations targeting vascular senescence. A national award winner in science communication events, her work now is based in developing innovative therapies for age-related cardiovascular diseases.
