María G. Portela is a third-year PhD candidate enrolled in a joint doctoral program between the University of Santiago de Compostela (Spain) and the University of Groningen (The Netherlands). This research is conducted through a collaboration between MJ Alonso’s laboratory at CIMUS and Hélder Santos’s laboratory at UMCG. Her work focuses on the development of intravenous siRNA delivery strategies for cardiac diseases, with particular emphasis on myocardial infarction.
