Fernanda Andrade is an Assistant Professor at the University of Barcelona and a Researcher at the Vall d’Hebron Research Institute, Spain. Her research focuses on the use of nanomedicine and the development of drug delivery systems to treat challenging diseases, mainly cancer. Her research integrates, among others, design and preclinical validation of polymeric and lipidic nanocarriers to enhance efficacy, safety, and targeting of drugs to improve the drug’s therapeutic index and treatment effectiveness.
