Bárbara B. Mendes obtained a BSc in Biomedical Sciences (2012) from the University of Beira Interior, a MSc in Biomedical Engineering (2014) from the University of Porto, and a PhD in Tissue Engineering, Regenerative Medicine, and Stem Cells at the 3B’s Research Group, University of Minho (2020) in collaboration with University of Pennsylvania. Since October 2020, she has been conducting translational research at NOVA Medical School, with maternity leave periods during late 2023 and 2025. Her research focuses in the main areas of oncology, nanomedicine, and deep learning.
