Innovative biomaterials for wound healing

Introduction:

Complex wounds are a global health problem. They are highly susceptible to microbial infection and biofilm formation and difficult to treat. Current antimicrobial wound dressings often rely on metal-based agents such as silver, which raise concerns related to cytotoxicity, cost and environmental impact. There is clear unmet need for safe, effective and sustainable alternatives.  



MyBiotech works on the establishment of an upscaled GMP conform production process of an alternative biomaterial intended to be used as matrix for innovative wound treatment products.
