Skin and Mucosal Delivery (Focus Group – SMD)
Extracellular vesicles derived from mesenchymal stem cell (MSC-EVs) have been described to exhibit anti-inflammatory and regenerative properties which make them excellent candidates in the context of lung inflammation. Pulmonary delivery, compared to the systemic one, is a non-invasive, patient friendly way to deliver drugs directly and efficiently to the pulmonary cells1. However, Extracellular Vescicles (EVs) delivery through the pulmonary route is yet a challenge to be addressed.
