Vascular ageing is driven by the accumulation of senescent endothelial cells (ECs), which exhibit irreversible cell-cycle arrest and a pro-inflammatory secretory phenotype (SASP) (1). These cells act as the underlying foundation for systemic physiological decline and fuels progression of cardiovascular diseases (CVDs) (2), a critical challenge to global health. Current senotherapeutics often lack cell-type specificity, leading to off-target risks. We propose biomimetic nanoformulations designed to selectively modulate senescent ECs to improve vascular dysfunction (3).
