Electrospun fibres have been widely explored for controlled drug delivery. However, burst release remains common and depends strongly on polymer distribution and fibre architecture [1,2]. In this study, we compare monoaxial (blended) and coaxial (core-shell) PVA–PEO nanofibers incorporating nicotinamide, using PEO molecular weight as an adjustable parameter. Novel UV imaging was integrated with conventional characterisation to link architecture, hydration behaviour, and release and permeation performance.
