Trastuzumab-conjugated liposomes for Breast Cancer: Development, characterization and in vivo assessment

Introduction: This study includes the development and characterization of trastuzumab (TmAb)-conjugated chitosan nanoparticles (CS-NPs) bearing 5-flluorouracil (5-FU) and carboplatin for the effective treatment of HER2-positive breast cancer.

Learning Objectives:

  • Development of targeted drug delivery systems using immunoliposomes for improved therapeutic efficacy in cancer.
  • To evaluate the in vitro and in vivo performance of paclitaxel–P-gp inhibitor-loaded nanocarriers.
  • To discuss the translational significance of nanotechnology-based controlled strategies in improving Efficacy.
