Paula Milán Rois obtained her PhD in 2023 under Prof. Somoza's supervision at IMDEA Nanoscience, obtaining the Extraordinary Doctorate Award. She is a postdoc at the University of Cambridge in Prof. Miska’s group, collaborating with Prof. Fruk. She develops synergistic anti-cancer therapies using RNA-targeted oligonucleotides and chemotherapy. Currently a Herchel Smith Fellow, she will start an MSCA Fellowship in the summer. Paula is Co-Chair of the Biochemistry Postdoc Society, SRUK, and the Cambridge RNA Club, contributing actively to the Cambridge research community
