Laxmi Prasanna Nandiraju is a PhD student in Biopharmaceutics at the School of Pharmacy, University College London (UCL), under the supervision of Professor Abdul Basit. Her research focuses on investigating sex differences in the action of pharmaceutical excipients on oral drug absorption. Sitting at the interface of oral drug delivery, artificial intelligence, and pharmaceutical 3D printing, her work aims to advance the development of sex-specific personalised oral medicines. Laxmi graduated with an MPharm degree with Honours from the UCL School of Pharmacy and qualified as a pharmacist in the UK, before returning to UCL to pursue her PhD.
