Saja Alzughoul is a PhD student at Queen’s University Belfast. Their research focuses on drug delivery, with particular emphasis on the design, fabrication, and characterization of microneedle array patches. Their previous published work investigated the in vitro–in vivo extrapolation (IVIVE) of bexarotene metabolism in the presence of chronic kidney disease and acute kidney injury in rat using physiologically based pharmacokinetic (PBPK) modeling.
