PhD Student
Université de Montréal, Canada
Katia Cherifi recently completed her MSc in the Matoori Lab at Université de Montréal, where she developed pH-responsive hydrogel sensors for wound diagnostics using multimodal optical detection and open-source AI analysis. She is currently pursuing a PhD focused on optimizing hydrogel formulations and fabrication methods for advanced analyte sensing and capture. She holds a BSc in Microbiology and Immunology (molecular immunology) and previously developed rapid biosensors for influenza and IL-6 detection using (L)SPR as part of the Sensus Competition.
