Andreia Sofia Barros is a Junior Researcher at i3S, University of Porto. She obtained her PhD in Biomedical Sciences in 2024 and leads research on stimulus-responsive nanomedicines and advanced 3D intestinal models for IBD therapy. In 2025, she secured competitive grants supporting independent and translational research. She is actively involved in international scientific societies, such as CRS and ECCO, contributing to scientific leadership, peer review, and conference organization.
