Sofia Sousa holds an MSc in Pharmaceutical Sciences and is a PhD candidate at CBQF, Universidade Católica Portuguesa, and i3S/Ipatimup, Universidade Porto, Portugal. Her doctoral research focuses on designing enzyme-powered nanoscale systems for oral delivery and modulation of intestinal inflammation. She is involved in the gBiOT project, which aims to develop nanobot-based technologies for gastrointestinal disorders, and previously presented her work in oral communication at the CRS 2025.
