Brazil, recognised for its exceptional biodiversity, contains several ecologically rich regions which source bioactive natural products. Among these is Pterodon pubescens-Benth fruit (Pp) (sucupira), a native species traditionally used to treat inflammation, pain and rheumatism [1]. Recent research has highlighted broader pharmacological potential, including anti-inflammatory, analgesic and antiparasitic properties [2]. Systemic delivery of Pp- extract is limited by its poor solubility, posing challenges for effective applications, such as in arthritis therapies. This study reports on dissolving microarray patches (MAPs) as a novel delivery system for Pp-extract.
