Varicella vaccination in children is still constrained by cold-chain requirements, injection-related discomfort, and safety concerns associated with live vaccines. Recombinant VZV glycoprotein E (gE) is a safer antigenic alternative, but its clinical utility depends on formulation strategies that preserve stability while enabling efficient skin delivery.
