Glioblastoma multiforme (GBM) has emerged as a challenge to treat primarily because of its hostile nature and complex pathophysiology. Although, Temozolomide (TMZ) is primary chemotherapeutic agent but its efficacy is limited by poor solubility, restricted BBB permeation, systemic toxicity, and drug resistance. Henceforth, nanomicelles (PMCs) based delivery systems offer a promising approach to overcome these limitations by enhancing mitochondrial targeting, cellular uptake, and therapeutic efficacy of TMZ in brain. In this study, we focused on developing TMZ-loaded nanomicelles (TMZ-TSPC PMCs) for targeted GBM therapy.
