IntroductionÂ
Colchicine is effective for managing acute gout but its clinical use is limited by poor bioavailability, gastrointestinal toxicity, and a narrow therapeutic index. Topical drug delivery offers localized therapeutic action while minimizing systemic exposure. This study aimed to develop and evaluate a niosomalfilm-forming gel to improve colchicine delivery, safety, and release control.
