Crohn’s disease (CD) is a chronic inflammatory bowel disease characterised by a relapsing-remitting course and transmural inflammation throughout the gastrointestinal tract [1]. While oral delivery of biologics offers a promising approach for localised therapy, its clinical application remains limited by gastric instability, enzymatic degradation, and poor intestinal permeability [2]. To overcome these challenges, this study leverages recent advances in supramolecular nanoparticle assembly to develop a “nano-in-gel” platform for targeted protein delivery [3].
