Introduction: Diabetes and its associate secondary complications are the major cause of mortality worldwide affecting 463 million people globally in 2019 and projected to reach 700 million by 2045. Despite a century passed since the discovery of Insulin, adequate maintenance of euglycemia and prevention of complications are yet to be achieved. We developed an auto regulatory nano system based on Concanavalin A and Glycosylated Insulin that forms a depot in vivo. The system is based on affinity regulated competitive release of glycosylated insulin, maintaining euglycemia for days upon single administration, reducing complications and thus improving the quality of life of patients
Learning Objectives:
Understanding the affinity replacement of G-Insulin with glucose using Con A encapsulated within nanosystem
Developing a nanosystem that will help diabetics by preventing them from diabetes related secondary complications
